As part of the Government’s ‘Beating Crime Plan’, our new Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) is prioritising the recruitment of additional personnel into Gloucestershire Constabulary. Our vision is to continue to build a workforce that is strong, confident and accountable and reflective of the communities we serve. In addition, we are striving to improve digital policing to support communication with the public and criminal justice agencies with better use of digital intelligence.

Gloucestershire Constabulary’s Learning and Development department delivers L&D solutions to equip our officers and staff with the required levels of knowledge and learning throughout their careers to keep the communities of Gloucestershire safe from harm.  Situated at The Sabrina Centre in Berkeley, we deliver world class training in our state of the art facility, to our existing workforce and those joining us for the first time.

Within the Learning and Development department we have an ambition to develop a range of digital learning opportunities to support an environment where learning is accessible for all staff and volunteers across our organisation. By developing diverse and accessible methods of learning we will improve our efficiency, offer better service to our customers, support agile ways of working, be more inclusive and encourage individuals to take personal responsibility for their learning.
