4338 Trainee Finance Assistant

Gloucestershire Police Finance Team is looking for a finance apprentice. We will support you through your training in a transferable qualification as an Accounting Technician.

The successful candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual who will be able to demonstrate experience of managing their own time to deliver great results. In doing so you will have shown persistence and perseverance and that you were focused on the outcome. You should have experience of playing in a team or working in a group in any capacity as a successful participant.

Being a good finance assistant requires inquisitiveness and a thirsty approach to delivering clean and meaningful information. We are looking for someone who doesn’t settle for “what” or “how much” (although you will calculate those accurately) but always seeks to know “why” and “what next”.

You will be working in our new Systems and Technical team, able to shape the role and whilst you do so and complete your studies, you will work up the scale points as you achieve exam success as an AAT qualified accounting technician. From there you can choose to continue to qualify as an accountant or specialise in that role.
