Gloucestershire Constabulary is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and analytical individual to become the force's new FRAUD PROTECT officer. Working within the Economic Crime Team, the postholder will travel around the county, conducting safeguarding work with victims of fraud, and others identified as being at risk. The postholder will work with partner agencies, local officers, regional colleagues, and private sector partners, to deliver fraud protect messaging using a variety of platforms and methods. The postholder will also conduct PREVENT work with those identified as vulnerable to involvement in economic crime, in order to educate and divert them away from such behaviours. The postholder will work closely with colleagues in the Force Intelligence Bureau to receive and analyse crime data in order to identify threats, trends, and vulnerability. They will be required to update crime reports and other databases to document their actions. The postholder will scope national best practice in order to review and develop local force policy, procedures, and training.
