The Constabulary currently has 264 Police Support Volunteers (PSVs) countywide, working across 34 active roles. The PSV Coordinator is a pivotal role in managing the full new starters and leavers process, effectively and efficiently engaging with stakeholders at all levels as part of the formal consultation process in encouraging departments to consider new innovative roles where volunteers can add value. The PSV Coordinator will provide an inclusive volunteering programme which is open to individuals who are integrated and feel valued as part of the wider policing family. Empowering Gloucestershire PSVs to contribute their time to actively supporting local policing priorities and in shaping the future of modern policing, recognising and appropriately rewarding volunteers who make a significant difference within our communities. Providing appropriate support and diverse opportunities across a variety of business areas for volunteers with transferable skillsets, experience and knowledge to provide additional support and capacity, whilst working with partners and the wider voluntary sector to develop close business relationships and communication channels to enhance service delivery as part of the wider Citizens in Policing (CiP) approach. The standard place of work will be Cirencester, however, this role allows for flexible working hours by local agreement with a blend of office based and remote/ home working.
