3958 CJD Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Gloucestershire Constabulary are seeking to recruit a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to work within their Criminal Justice Department.  The applicant will work closely with the Head of CJD to review current practice across the Criminal Justice System, understand what is working well and to provide an evidence base for those areas that need further improvement. 

The role will liaise with partners including the Crown Prosecution Service to understand where officers are falling short in their investigations.  Using this knowledge a key aspect of the role will be working with Learning and Development, Corporate Communications and Local Policing Area commanders to improve the quality of work completed by Officers.  This is a highly complex area of Policing made significantly more challenging by the Covid-19 pandemic and backlogs in the Criminal Justice System.

Previous experience of Criminal Justice/Investigative practice is essential.  

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract position.
