We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic Planning Team working 37 hours per week at Gloucestershire Constabulary.  The role will involve supporting Heads of Departments and Senior Police Officers with their business planning. It’s an opportunity to work with departments across our busy organisation and be a part of finding solutions to their challenges.

You will help gather information for key documents including our Organisational Risk Assessment and add relevant business objectives with performance measures to business plans ensuring that they align to policing priorities.

As an ambassador for the Planning Team, you will need to be confident using your own initiative and be able to build a strong rapport with stakeholders; being able to influence and negotiate as necessary. The role demands a curious mind – able to ask questions, challenge the norm and think strategically to see the “big picture”.

Ideally you will have some previous experience in business planning or risk reporting but will receive training and support.

You will need to be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and have excellent communication skills. It is really important that you are able to demonstrate an aptitude for good written work.

Please refer to the Role Profile document when completing the Statement in support of your application section of the form. In this section, you are required to provide evidence with specific examples for each of the 8 Essential criteria included under the Experience and Qualifications section of the Role Profile. For each of the criteria, please write a paragraph detailing how your experience, qualifications, skills and abilities meet the minimum criteria for the role. Applicants who do not provide this required evidence will unfortunately not be invited to interview.
