We are looking for an individual with the right qualities and attributes to join our Victim and Witness Unit. The main responsibilities of the role are to inform victims and witnesses they have to attend court to give evidence and support them in doing so.

This involves contacting victims and witnesses both by telephone, email and by letter so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The role also requires the ability to be able to manage difficult and challenging conversations. To support victims and witness who have been granted to give evidence from a police live link, you will also be expected to facilitate this and provide face to face support.

The role requires you to work as part of a small team but to work closely with police officers regarding victim and witness requirements (sometimes attending court yourself to do so) and to liaise with our partner agencies within the Criminal Justice System.
