This role is for 37 hours per week and provides the opportunity to join the Planning Team at Gloucestershire Constabulary to support Heads of Departments and senior police officers with their business planning.

The post holder will understand and agree relevant performance measures and risks for objectives in business plans ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and policing priorities.  The post holder will also help gather information for key strategic documents including our Organisational Risk Assessment.

As an ambassador for the Planning Team, the post holder will be confident using their own initiative and be able to build a strong rapport with stakeholders; being able to influence and negotiate as necessary. The role demands a curious mind – able to ask questions, challenge the norm and think strategically to see "the big picture”.

Candidates with previous experience in business planning or corporate reporting are preferred. They must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and have excellent communication skills. It is especially important that the post holder can demonstrate an aptitude for excellent written work – this will be tested at interview.

Prospective interview dates are 20 and 21 April 2023.
