We have an opportunity to recruit an level 4 Application Developer into the Development Team which is responsible for providing system integration and applications to support the Constabulary in its duty of keeping people safe. You will be working with an experienced team of developers using a range of technologies including C#/.NET, Java, SAS, ESRI tools, Oracle Apex and HTML/CSS/Javascript. There is a significant amount of data extraction, integration and presentation so, in addition to programming knowledge, strong SQL skills are essential.

You will be supporting and maintaining existing applications and data flows in addition to developing new solutions as required. You will be expected to take part in requirements gathering, planning, design, development, testing and release.  

You should have strong communication skills, both written and spoken. You should have excellent planning skills and attention to detail when completing your tasks. You should bring a willingness to learn to the role while also being able to contribute your own experience and knowledge.

This role is more suited to a candidate that has a wealth of professional experience in development work and is capable of leading their own work and taking responsibility for the full development cycle.
